I used to tear a hole in my coffee cup lid before lids with openings were produced. When the commercial version was produced I thought I was creative.

Here is one I missed. Who would have thought you could curve the straight bar used to hold the shower curtain and created more room in narrow tubs. Some innovations are obvious, but illusive.
